Thermostats and other system controls have also come a long way since the old Honeywell dial thermostats that were originally installed in a lot the area’s homes – and that we still see today when servicing or replacing older systems.  Our favorite new thermostat is a Touchscreen model – made by Honeywell and marketed by them under the “VisionPro” name and branded as the Lennox Elite Touchscreen Thermostat.  They are essentially the same unit, and all of the feedback we’ve received on them has been positive – from our installers and our customers (it is not an easy feat to make both groups so happy with the same product).

When it comes to zoning, the harsh reality is that it is mostly impractical to convert an existing ductwork system into a zoned system – there are some exceptions however, so it never hurts to ask.  When working with Lennox’s Signature Series furnaces and air handlers, the Lennox Harmony III system is a must for proper operation of the variable speed fan.  We also use Aprilaire and Arzel for zoning solutions, depending on the application.
