  8/5/2009: The Keystone Help Program has ceased accepting new applications for the Energy Star rebates due to lack of funding from the State. There are still some low-interest loans available until the funding for those is used up, but we've lost one of the incentives for a high efficiency upgrade. It is still a great time to consider upgrading your system, however. You could take advantage of :

  • up to $1,500 in Federal Tax Credits (30% of the costs - now uncapped for Geothermal and Solar)
  • up to $800 off instantly on high efficiency air conditioning or heat pump systems. The EAP/PECO instant rebate program is back and it is starting early this Fall (August 15, 2009).
  • up to $500 in PECO gas rebates ($300 for high efficiency upgrades, $200 for conversions, see www.peco.com/gasrebates)
  • Upgrading your system(s) can save between 30-50% of your energy costs amid rising prices.
